Biodegradable polymers

Study of degradation process of polyesters induced by microorganism and especially enzymes by evaluation of degraded material changes and by characterization of degradation products released into the medium. The research is particularly focused on the relationship between the molar mass, crystallinity, and specimen form of polyester and the mechanism of its biodegradation. Collaboration with Dr. Pavla Šmejkalová (UCT, Prague).
